We understand that cost constraints may mean that it is necessary to postpone the replacement of your roof and undertake short-term remedial repairs instead.
Small roof repairs are something that we have been asked for many times in the past, but this was not a service we were able to offer cost effectively, which concerned us. So, we wanted to find a way to help clients and offer something more than sliding tiles back into position.
After consulting with our existing clients and those with roof problems, we have put together our Roof inspection and maintenance service.
This product offers a fixed price service of your roof*. Our specialised roofing team will inspect your roof and appraise the overall condition. During this visit the team will set about repositioning and / or replacing any slipped or broken tiles, brushing down moss and carry out any small flashing patch repairs.
At the end of this maintenance a verbal recommendation will be given on the condition of the roof. This could include recommendations for additional work that may be required in the future or any urgent work required now. This will be backed up with pictures of the issue and the maintenance work undertaken.
Ongoing maintenance
You may be looking to prolong the life of your recent roof with regular maintenance. Ongoing maintenance is a cost effective way of keeping your roof in top health and prolonging its life. On a relatively young roof this might be a simple inspection and replacement of broken tiles or the cleaning of the moss. Both of these will prolong the life of the roof and give you comfort in knowing that your roof is in good health.
Please note that we do not use pressure washers on your roof, we use a gentler process of brushing and chemicals to eradicate the moss on your tiles. We can even offer you the option of a chemical product that is kinder to the environment.
*Labour is fixed but there may be some material costs. These will be itemised in your invoice (facture). The cost is dependent on the size of the roof, if the one or two day programme is required and which options are selected.
The service does not include replacement of ridges, flashing, framework and Velux windows. These will be discussed at the appraisal and if you wish, the team will ask the office to contact you with a quote (devis).
